Disenchanted the item Calcelmo wants. What can I do?

Ages ago Calcemo sent me a letter for some Dwarven Gauntlets of Eminent Smithing. I disenchatned them days ago though. Is there a way other than console commands to advance the quest?

Altering the quest progress via console commands has damaged my saves a few times so I'm hesitant to do so at this point.

Either hope you find another pair, or try crafting them and naming it the same. Or if you must complete that quest now, then use the console.

Does anyone happen to know the console command for getting the item's enchanted version? I know the command is player.additem <ItemID> <#> and the Item ID for Dwarven Gauntlets is 0001394e but is it even possible to console in the enchanted version?

You can try typing this into the console (provided you have the exact name):

help "Dwarven Gauntlets of Eminent Smithing"

That should give you the code.

yes. google skyrim item codes and look for enchanted stuff. or use console command coc qasmoke. takes you to a room with every item. to return to game coc riverwood, or whatever town you want.
