The Book Powers of the Elements
Does anyone know how to interpret the book given by Faralda at the colledge of Winterhold for quest "Complete the book Powers of the Elements"? I found the first Northern site but can not understand the Southern place whers Dwemer live and toil

That place where "Dwemer live and toil" is Mzinchaleft.

I'll give you another little clue: road to Dawnstar.

I was succesful in defeating the enemies in Mzirchaleft, exiting the ruins and then finding the ruins on the road to Dawnstar. I put the book of powers on the stand and activated it. Nothing happened except to put the book back in my inventory. I read the book but there was nothing new. Can you tell me what it means to wield mage's craft so fierce the sea will boil? I tried to use my destruction powers to kill the bandets in Mzirchaleft but maybe I'm not supposed to do that.
Thanks again

Not sure where you are in the quest or what you've accomplished, but the idea is to use the powers of destruction at the appropriate location. Fire, Frost and Shock. "...the sea will boil" sounds like fire.

Thanks to all.

These indications are clues for a single location, the riddle is telling you to find a place between the northern sea (northward, haunted northern coastline) and Mzinchaleft (and south, Dwemer live and toil) the place is ancient, very small, with very few enemies and a single chest (a simple place, a shield from draft).

If you are still willing to provide direction this 71 year old mind is really having trouble putting these clues together. In the next clue I assume "under Greybeards Morning shadow " is under the shadow of High Hrothgar Mt.. "At this Northern watch long lost" may be the Northernwatch Keep. But I can not understand "Nirn"s hoary throat does scrape the sky" I thought it might be the Shrine of Mehunes Dagon since there is an opened mouth statue above the entrence way but there is no stand there to put the book of Powers on. Please help again.

What rodneyterry said is true. If you stand in front of this place's pedestal you'll be looking exactly to the north (at this northern watch) and the place is ancient (long lost).

Additional clue: You can see Riverwood from there
