Can't see runes: Bug or Graphics?

Hello,
I said in the title, I can't see any runes. it doesn't matter where the run is part of the environment or one I cast - there's no glow, outlines, nothing. How should I trouble shoot this?

I've already check the mods. I saved the same game in two seperate files, then ran one with player-made mods, and the other with just Dawn, DBorn, Hearthfire, and the HighRes. All of these were released by the developer. There was no change in the lack of rune markers.

Any ideas? As 'thrilling' as invisible runes make gameplay, I'm sick of stepping in them.

its to do with graphics
most likely your graphics will be on low (like me :D)
go to skyrim launcher, settings, advanced, and where it says 'decal quality' or similar it will most likely be on 'none' assuming your graphics are on low
simply change it so that it is enabled and runes should become visible :)
