I really have no opinion on the space skill trees.
I do prefer Oblivion's map to Skyrim's which is why I use Warburgs 3D Paper World Map[www.nexusmods.com] mod.
Skyrim, on the other hand, has a better map system, better dividing of magic and items(was sort of confusing in Oblivion with your 9001 spells) and a better Quest log where you it's easier to keep track of your quests.
That's not to say that Skyrim's is perfect, it's not. They really screwed up on the scrolling and sorting departments. But I don't really like SkyUI either, just personal preference. I think they added too much complexity to it. (What the heck do all those columns mean?)
