Do it for Astrid.
I inadvertently triggered the Dark Brotherhood quest simply by being nosey and breaking into the Arrentino Residence. I didn't realise what I had triggerred until about a week later and by then the only way out was to abandon the last fifty saved games and go back to before I entered the house.
As a former GM, I consider that just bad plot design. But it happens a lot in Skyrim, make a bad choice on a dialogue option and suddenly your entire character is compromised and there's no way out but to reload.
The brotherhood are just the morally ambiguous who take money for murder.
I don't think that's ambiguous so much as completely amoral. ;
