No Trap Doors For Midden

Hello, I am realatively new to Skyrim. I am trying to go see Augur of Dunlain in Midden. I have looked everywhere at the college for a trap door and can not find one. There is not one in the courtyard, nor in any of the other places suggested when I Google it. I've also tried locating the one that is supposed to be on the North Face of the cliff, but to no avail. I've jumped out of just about every window in the courtyard, and went to the end of the bridge, gone under it and then crossed the water, still no door to Midden. I've seen screen shots of where the trap door is, and they just don't show up in my game. Please help me, I've spend hours looking for the way to Midden.

The one in the courtyard is in one of the far corners. If you go right as you come out of the College and walk to the wall, you should see the entrance to the Midden on the floor.

Thank you. Sadly there is no entrance there. The guide arrow on my directions points to a place on the floor, but there is nothing there. I've seen screen shots from people who've found it and there just isn't one there.

I am aware of another trapdoor entrance to the Midden on the first floor of the Hall of Countenance, behind the staircase (so go to the staircase, but instead of walking up it, walk behind it). Have you tried that one? I know you said you've been checking other places in addition to the courtyard, so apologies if you already looked there as well.

Only thing I can think of, you've probably done... but here goes..!
Look on YouTube at 'Midden' and double check that you're def looking in right places.
If you are, and the entrances aren't there, all you can do is reinstall the game and see if that fixes the problem.
If you use 'Alternate Start' mod from Nexus, you can select 'New member of a Guild' the 'Mages Guild' when prompted... At least that will save some time in checking if issue is resolved.

It come out facing the water most caves, dungeons have these when completing quest short cuts back to where you come in and skyrim. When you get to the area, Augur is left to his place(door) and right to exit to skyrim.
By the way if you are missing data(trapdoors) I would verify your game just to see if you are missing files etc.(not the usual one)

@Kelvy Could you be more specific about where the cave entance is? The college is surrounded by water and I have circiled it once already from the outside and didn't see it.

Did you verify your game the trap doors should be there. Give me a tick and I will go and see in my game.
PS I have lead you on a merry chase sorry, you can exit there(half way up cliff) but you can't re enter it.
When you go through gate to college go left on path around side until you can't go any futher look on ground should be trapdoor.

@Kelvy, that does not show up in my game. However, if I knew where the cave entrance was maybe I could figure a way to get there. I have successfully climbed out most of the windows in the courtyard and can get almost all the way around the college out side. So if I know where to descend at, I might be able to access that entrance. Thanks much for your help.

Unfortunately when leaving cave you drop down to a ledge and I couldn't climb back up. The cave is facing the ruins on island across water close by.
Again verfiy your game, you have not said if you have done that. This is in vanilla side of game and should be there.
Also check your load, order go to page 18 in pinned topic (Master Dan) on hints and match yours to mine.

@Kelvy, I was finally able to get into the midden. There is a video on Youtube about how to get in through the cave entrance. I was able to talk to Dunlane, but could not exit back to the college, there must be a glitch in my game. It just said open or close the ladder when I came to the exit. There was also a door that I could "open" as well, but it wouldn't let me enter what ever was on the other side. Thanks for all of your help.
