Sun damage coding

I am looking to play with some sunscreen and anti vampire mods just for fun, and I have see people make there own versions of "anti sun" items. I can't seem to figure out however how to go about making a new magic effect. I don't know what values or things to adjust to effect how the sun effects the vampires. is it as simple as a resist fire enchatment or something?

I know there are mods out there that offer what I am trying to do, but I want to make it for myself to gain a better understanding of modding and to have my own mods to play with.

so in a nutshell how would I go about making an antisun magic effect?

to clarify I want to make a new magic effect and not play on ones already out there, and I want to use it later as an enchatment for clothing or jewelery

Well, since vamprisim causes your health, magica, and stamina to be stunted and decreased, you could wear or enchant items that counter this effect (for example, an armor set with health or magica regen.) and if you had the highest perk on the enchanting tree, you could enchant one piece of armor with two effects, or without it, you could just make other pieces of equipment with these enchantments. I haven't tried this myself, but it might work. I'm not sure about something that completley stops you from taking sun damage, though.

Do you mean like through the creation kit? As in making it yourself?

yea i wanted to play with making a antisun damage mod in creation kit

Check out the spells 'VampireSunDamage01' through 'VampireSunDamage04'. That should be a start.
