Ancient Nord Helmet
Ok, so I am trying to model swap the stupid male ancient nord helmet for the female one with the antlers on them. I cannot find the model for it in the Creation Kit. I was unable to find a mod that did this. I tried putting the helmet on a female then copying the object. nothing has worked and I'm at a loss. does anyone know how I can swap them out?

I don't know if it's possible. With Ancient Nord Armor and Helmets (along with some of the Fur Armors) there seems to be male versions and female versions of the same item, so if you take an Ancient Nord helmet or Armor and put it on a male character, it will always be the male version, and then if you take the very same item, and put it on a female character, it will always be the female version - same item, different look. This might be buried deep enough in the code of the game that it can't be "fixed".

They are listed in the Creation Kit under Draugr. Specifically, ArmorDraugrHelmet. The easiest way to experiment though doesn't require the CK, you can just extract the meshes and swap them. The fit might not be great, no idea what it will look like.

If you don't already have a utility for extracting meshes, I'd recommend FO3 Archive Utility, which can be found at Nexus.

Open the Skyrim - Meshes.bsa, and look for Meshes / Armor / Draugr / draugrhelmetfemale, etc. If you want the swap to work for the beast races, you'll need to grab the meshes labeled khajiit and argonian too. The file with _go at the end is the ground model (what you see in the inventory and when you drop it).

Grab what you want to swap, rename them (swap the names male to female) and drop them in your Data folder ( Meshes / Armor / Draugr) load up the game and see how they look.

If they don't fit (never tried it so I've no idea), adjusting the fit is a bit more complicated and requires other software: Blender (which is free) and Nifskope. You can find tutorials at TESAlliance among other places.
