Hearthfire - Build a house in Riverwood?

Hi! I just bought Hearthfire and I really want to buy a house in Riverwood, but it seems to me that you can't decide where you want to build. Can anyone help me? :)

No, there are some predetermined plots of land you can buy. One is in Falkreath, with the others in Hjallmarch and in The Pale. There are some good mods out there though, and I remember seeing one that gave a small cottage near Riverwood c: Hope this helped!

Just got a "Hearthfire mission" in Falkreath so I'll just build a house there:) But thanks for your help and I will try to find that mod you were talking about :D

If it's any consolation, the Falkreath home isn't far from Riverwood and is one of the best looking locations in my opinion

If you really want a house in/near Riverwood there are alot of mods in the Workshop. I've noticed that the Riverwood area seems to be a favorite of modders. I personally have Millwater Retreat (income property) and Legend of the Eagle's Nest mods.

I downloaded a mod called Hunters cabin or something like that but I wasn't too pleased with it. I'll look in to those mods you have, Thanks :)

If it absolutely must be riverwood, you could murder someone who lives there and take over their house. i used to do that in morrowind. the conatiners probably won't be safe, so store your stuff somewhere else. anies' cabin has safe conatainers, but that's more murder unless you go in her basement first, then shee'll attack you first

Haha no I will probably not kill the people in Riverwood but I'll keep that in mind ;)
