Chitin Armor stronger than Deathbrand Armor and Dragon Scale Armor
Ok so I have smithing of 100, used gloves that boost upgrading by 20% and an 50% blacksmith potion to improve a set of chitin armor, later i made used the exact same equipment to improve deathbrand armor and even with its +100 armor for a set attribute it still falls way behind my chitin armor lol... Elder scrolls wikia says that chitin armor should be beteween elven and scaled in armor rating, but for some reason i have made chitin armor that makes the high tier armor look like wimps compared to it.

Ive checked that if it is light armour, it is. Ive made sure that i used the same equipment to improve the armor, and i have not used any mods to enhance smithing or armors in overall, so any idea whats up with this manly set of Chitin Armor?

I have Light armor at 66, 40% better light armor (perk) and custom fit (25% better if set) perk and this is how they rank.

---
Chitin Helm 105
Chitin Bracers 93
Chitin Armor 215
Chitin Boots 93
= Total 505 Armor
---
Deathbrand Helm 75
Deathbrand Gauntlets 65
Deathbrand Armor 163
Deathbrand Boots 65
+100 from helm ench.
= Total 467 Armor

Manly Chitin Armor is manly, but any ideas why? Just a Bug or...?

"Just a Bug" I see what you did there. :S

You've double Chitin's improvement through it's Elven Smithing Perk upon it raises the improvement twice as stronger. It comes from the type of light armor rank for Chitin to surpass the unique Stalhrim armor without the neccessity to upgrade the armor. Deathbrand can be enhanced within the Ebony (Heavy) smithing perk to double the armor's effects for the Light armor skills. I'm not particularly sure how it can beat Dragonscale's rating supposingly without the smithing perk regardless, you would need the Dragon smithing. Ebony smithing for Stalhrim and vice versa.

What smithing perks do you have? If you don't have the Ebony perk you can't uograde the Deathbrand as much as you could.

Are those armor values you list with the armor equipped? Light armor with perks that boost it by 65% (plus what the skill adds) will naturally offer better protection than heavy armor with base skill and no perks.

i have all smithing perks and it just is better than the other stuff, as i said i have smithing in 100, and completely maxed. and those were values from them being in inventory with just them being equipped and7unequipped, they do not vary in anyways

dragon scale has the same stats as death brand thoung the helmet and armor are a bit better

Do you have any rings amulets that improve light armor skills but not the same for heavy armor? Are your light armor and heavy armor skill trees maxed, with all perks enabled. While wearing armor, these will affect your armor rating. Btw, did you enchant any of your armor with armor skills on one and not the other?

All the armors listed here are just light armors, and i have no items to enhance my light/heavy skills

Andddd i listed my light armor skill+perks in the main post. And my heavy armor skilltree is what it is as i dont use it, and as all the armor here is light i dont see why my heavy armor skill would even be relevant.

++ No enhancements on the armor besides what deathbrand already hosts.
Just Plain chitin armor vs plain Deathbrand and Dragonscale

I'd be thankful if I ran into that. Dragonscale armor and Stahlrim is ugly, Chitin is awesome.
