Still Having Problems Updating to Latest Patch
Hello. I can not seem to update skyrim to the latest official patch version. I currently have version 1.3.22.0, and I have tried doing everything I can think of. I tried uninstalling/reinstalling, and that did nothing. I tried to verify the game cache, and it said "one file failed to validate and will be reaquired", but nothing happened after that. I tried logging out and logging in, and that didn't work. I made sure the game was set to "always keep this game up to date". And I made sure I'm not in online mode. I am lost as to what to do, because there are some bugs that I would really like to have fixed that are probably addressed in the official or unofficial patch, and I can't install the official patch without the latest version of the official.

You MUST be in ONLINE mode inorder for your game to update!

Oh, and it's not just the latest patch you need. There are several patches since the 1.3 version. They will all update once you switch to online mode and have the game set to always keep my game updated.

If you're in Online mode and STEAM refuses to "update", then you most likely have the latest patch.

If you are still having problems, maybe your executable is messed up; you can try renaming TESV.exe to TESV.exe.backup; and do the "Verify game cache" to let STEAM redownload the latest version

WOW, then it should auto update the patches. Since you still have version 1.3, you must have a problem with your Steam client updates. All I can suggest is to contact Steam support, then wait for what is usually a generic answer and hope that it helps. Other than that, try googling "Skyrim Patches won't update" And hope theres a result that has a fix for you.

I tried this, and it didn't work either. I am checking the version by right clicking on the exe file, and going to the details tab. It still says 1.3.22.0

Do your other games auto update? If not, there are some anti-virus software that will prevent Steam from downloading updates. You might try turning off your virus protection just to see if that fixes it and turn it back on after you have had Steam on for an hour or two. JUST A THOUGHT.

Ok well I checked my version in the game, and it says 1.9.32.0.8, so I'm not really sure why the exe file says otherwise

1.3.22 is the LAUNCHER version, not the exe. The exe is 1.9.

Skyrim launcher.exe had this 1.3 version as in everybody's case. Skyrim.exe is OK for everyone too.
