How do I use travellers bedroll??

Hey so I toss this thing on the ground and can't get it to do anything. But I think I remember one time it flattened out into a bed. Well what do I need to do I've been trying on outside grassy area in different places, what's the trick?

To use a bedroll , select it in inventory, then press R to drop it. Then Prees CTRL and E to open it into a flat bed. Close CTRL then click E on the bed to sleep.

After you have slept , step off the bed, then presss CTRL then E to place bed back in inventory.

Ok I got it to expand using CTRL E, but I can't sleep in it, when I use E it just puts the bedroll in my inventory again! Am I missing something?

Edit: I figured it out I can't be in stealh mode when I hit E to sleep, standing works though

Ah, right, left stick press + A twice, not the most responsive, but does work if done fast.

that's terrible... you need 3 hands to do that comfortable... so i hold down sticks with my two thumbs then reach my index over to tap A twice? what kind of stupid ♥♥♥♥ is that?

edit: oh wait left thumb on left stick, right index in right stick and right middle taps A twice... wow improvement yet absolutely stupid

Well, you don't need to keep your right thumb on the right stick all the time. Basically you have to crouch and then do the action button.
I forgot I even typed this, lmao, if I needed it, I'd probably be searching for it again. I use Campfire mod tents more, pretty straightforward stuff.
