how do i get into Mercer's house after I get the key ?? it looks like i need to lower a bridge or something?

there was something you had to shoot with your bow on the bridge

sigh the quest after that is broke, instead of opening the gate karliah just walks away and I cant pull the chain.

just keep reloading from outside the cave, eventually she wont be dumb anymore, youll have to do it from outside the cave though, doing it from a save inside the cave didnt work after 15 times of trying, but 2-4 times when i loaded from outside the cave
