Bug on body textures, need help
So after moding the game, it was working fine, since i noticed that the body texture, that used to work properly has buged, I don't know the cause, I have the same body mesh and body texture that I used to, and worked fine for some time, but no more. The head and the hands still looks correctly but the body doesn't. http://i.imgur.com/XK93IJ7.jpg this is how it looks now, in my profile you will see how it used to look like.

Thanks

I asked, searched, forums and every searcher and didn't found anything, if you read the post you'll see that the problem is not the face, the problem is the body part.

The neck is okay it looks "grey" because it's a very cloudy weather and the lightning is very soft, the problem is why the body looks so bright.

Or perhaps wrong head for the body?

Stop with the head! The head is Ok, as I said it used to work fine, and the head was the same, the problem is the body texture that is not working fine, it doesn't look how it should look, you can see on my profile on the game screenshots how it should work..

Looks to me like you are missing the body _msn map.
Check textures\actors\character\female and look for femalebody_1_msn.dds.
I subscribed to this discussion just in case that's the issue. If it is, you will need to replace it.
It could be the body doesn't have the correct path to it also, but we can wait on that one for a bit...

Hmm, just checked and I have the femalebody_1_msn.dds file

Okay cool. Can you check the body? First, is your character wearing armor in that shot? Does it only cause the problem with a specific armor? Or does it do it all the time, even nude?
If it does, can you go to .... wait. Do you have NifSkope? If not, you can grab it from sourceforge.net/nifskope
Grab that and then go to meshes\actors\character\character assets and open femalebody_0 and femalebody_1
When you install NifSkope, it should automatically associate nif files, so just double clicking on the body meshes should work.

Once opened in NifSkope, you are going to click on the body in the render window (don't worry about it not showing a texture).
In the left column, you will see highlighted in blue, NiTriShape.
Expand that with the little triangle beside it.
Now expand the line that says 6 BSLightingShaderProperty.
Now click on 7 BSShaderTextureSet.

Down at the bottom there should be Block Details. If not, just hit F3, or click View at the top, then check Block Details.

Expand the textures and verify that they all have textures\actors\character
female\femalebody_1 and have the following affects...
.dds, _msn.dds, _sk.dds and _s.dds.

If they all do, then it's a different issue.

Out of curiosity, was this a downloaded mod? Or was it something you made? If it was downloaded, what's the mod name? I can try downloading it here and having a look at it.

Thanks alot for your implication, first of all I'm not wearing any armor on the shot, it's only the skin, but it still does it when an armor is equiped, just followed your tutorial and I have all the affects you said, the mod I downloaded and when I saw that there was a problem it was the "Temptress Race" mod, but It shouldn't afect my character... More now that I already uninstalled it.

Okay, I'm downloading the mod now to check a hunch. For some reason, your body isn't reading the _msn map correctly. Do your hands look correct?

Yes, my hands and my feet looks correctly too.
Mr. Dave Jan 6, 2015 @ 2:30am
Wait... your feet are correct too? The feet use the same _msn map as the body.
What body do you have installed currently?
mas886 Jan 6, 2015 @ 2:35am
No, no, sorry, my feet looks, as bad as the body, was not looking good.
Mr. Dave Jan 6, 2015 @ 2:36am
Okay. Hmm... Do have a texture in the same location as the _msn.dds called femalebody_sk.dds ?Maybe the specular map is missing?
mas886 Jan 6, 2015 @ 2:50am
Yes I have femalebody_1_sk.dds
