"After you have killed Veren and Thorek and are at the point when you have to speak to Erandur, no interaction with him may be possible, including talking. If this happens, run all the way back to the front door of the temple. Go outside and then come back in.
On PC, this can be solved by opening the console, selecting Erandur and using the console commands disable followed by enable"

I might add that the Wiki site for Skyrim needs to have the uesp info on it... on the skyrim.wiki or whatever that I was on, the fix you gave me was not mentioned, nor was this point of the quest listed as a bug (not even on Xbox or PS3).
Additionally, as a comic relief after I got it fixed, I encountered the stupid 'Erandur can't climb stairs to the Skull' bug... and fixed it by running at full speed into him from behind to push him up the step that he got stuck on.
Buggiest RPG quest since Neverwinter Nights 2 on PC... where half of the quests were a coin-flip as to whether they'd become broken.
Blood on the Ice
This one seems to be worse, though. I had two separate issues on it, including at the end where I just kept ramming into Erandor to get him up the step.
All-in-all, Skyrim has usually been completely flawless for me in techincal/bug issues. This is the first quest I had bug-out in a major way since a year ago when I first bought Dawnguard and had the bug at the vampire castle where no one could be spoken to to let me in (including the female vampire NPC I found/rescued right before).
