Destroyed House near Whiterun
I've been using it instead of buying Breezehome. The chest under the floorboard there seems like a safe place to store stuffs so far. It's been more than 30 days in game that I've tried putting things in it, and nothing has disappeared so far. Big plus is there's no loading screen. There's a bed you can sleep in too.

Anyone else using it too? Will there be any problem with it when the civil war kicks up?

Chest under the floorboard? What chest? What floorboard? Is this a mod? I've been in that house several times. OMG I'm going blind if this is not a mod.

Same here, cwap. I am praying it is a mod.

NO. It's not I just dashed off and checked. It's under two displaced floorboards opposite the bed.
Aaaargh.

It is the place that the Space Core lands ... which was a mod released by Bethesda?
I'd never have thought of using that shack ... as, in the rain there's no roof to keep all my stuff dry!
Also the wandering sabrecats might make a meal of you while your sleeping....

I'm really worried for you now .. can I buy you a better home ... cos after all the dragonborn shouldn't live in a shack with no roof! :D

It has been there forever. Have you went somewhere else and rested for 10 days then come back. if you you keep revisiting an area every few days it will not respawn.

Never been attacked while sleeping in or outside in Skyrim, unlike Morrowind where the Dark Brotherhood always pick that time to appear.

But not competent enough to kill you while you're asleep! Well, either that or divine intervention is at hand.

I was speaking figuratively ... as you cannot sleep or fast travel when enemies are around ... but that is not to say that they cannot wander into your area after you wake up.
I just felt sorry for yok.s Sleeping in that hut ... When yok.s could be in lots of better ones!!

I have use that shack myself on occassion with no problems. I have always wondered why no modder has taken advantage of the site as a reconstructable home/farm for the dragonborn/player to own?

There is a mod that converts this shack into a home but can't remember the name.

I don't think any mod made that chest. lol It's been there since I started playing the game without mods. I wonder if the roaming beasts will get me one day. XD

Eternie, I have enough money now, but I'm keeping it to buy a house in Markarth later in the game. Hoping it's not too expensive.

I've travelled all over the place and keep coming back to check though! Maybe that's why the chest is safe. XD

Yeah, there's a lot of destroyed house all over skyrim. I really want to make those livable again! Free houses!
Now I am curios about that chest. I too have revisited that place many times expecting to find something else, but never checked the floorboards, lol.

Always discovering new things, that's one of the reasons I love this game.

I don't recall a destroyed house outside of Whiterun... Which side is it on? I'll check it out next time I get on.
