Is there a smelter anywhere near solitude?

There is a mod that puts stables for horse s, but I don't think there is one for smelters. Oh and no, there is not one nearby.

playing requiem, and its taking a while to carry all the steel bandit armor to the smelter in whiterun. Thanks for the quick answer.

You could use a mod to make a portable smelter and just place it somewhere in Solitude.

Download JK's Skyrim mod. It's a towns and cities overhaul mod and he fixes issues like this so that every blacksmith forge now had all the proper workstations.

where would the ones outside of whiterun and markarth be?

If your in solitude, did you look up stairs ourside where the blacksmith is , I kept forgetting thats where he was ??

idk if there's one in Solitude, but there is a Blacksmith forge right at the entrance to Whiterun.

ok google search - Whiterun, Markarth, and Windhelm are the only Holds that have a smelter in-city,
and Dawnstar

There are smelters all over the place - 22 of them, plus the 6 you can build if you have HearthFires...

Detailed Towns and Detailed Cities mods adds smelters in useful places like Riverwood next to the blacksmiths and next to the blacksmith in Solitude amongst other things.
