Dawnguard or Vampire?
Hi guys! I am a level 35 player, I've currently finished every quest-line minus the Dragonborn DLC. From players who have played from the side of Dawnguard, and players who play as a Vampire, what side should I choose? Im looking for the side with a deeper story, and not a ton of dungeon crawling.

If you are a warrior or thief type then Dawnguard is the way to go. They give much better warrior/thief type bonuses. However if you are mage, then Vampire is the way to go. Vampires give truly excellent mage type bonuses.

I am a Warrior and a Thief, but does Dawnguard have a good questline? Something I want to be part of, not something I just need to finish?

I went with the Dawnguard as a mainly assassin, part-time magic character. I want to go back and play through the Vampire option, but I think they may play out pretty similarly regarding the major plot points areas you go into. I would say just go with whichever you feel more. I was playing as a more straight-laced character and the Dawnguard seemed like the good guys.

The Dawnguard will kill you and anyone in the way (innocents) so it's up to you, castle Volihar is kind of a revamped Dark Bruthahood as you have to kill people. i go with the vampires as the castle is yours in the end, and fort DG is actually yours too...oops did I spoil it?

I only played a little of the vampire but completed all of dawnguard.

I really didn't like dawnguard. The reward you get at the end after doing all those quests is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ridiculous. The quests ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ suck, the dawnguard people sucks.

The vampires are badass and they actually gives you quests to kill people. It's like a continuation of the dark brotherhood. But I don't actually use the vampire forms, I hate third person view. Quite possible that the main quest will look similar to dawnguard at some point and could get boring but it seems to be the most fun for assassins/thieves/mages. And ♥♥♥♥ the buff from dawnguard that you get. Skyrim is really easy, the buffs are unecessary.
vampire is a touching and deep side, dawnguard is a bit more of "I wont go into the dark" sorta thing. but honestly i recommend dawnguard if you havnt got fire resist and 1 black soul gem to make any gear fire resist, dragons will destroy you if you dont, dawnguard and vampires both allowed to chase down and kill people or vampirism people, dawnguard or vampire spies both are the same. in vampires you can get a death hound and in dawnguard you can buy for 350 gold i think a armored troll. good for exploring the wilderness and a dragon comes outta nowhere.

Simple, are you a vampire or not, that's the main choice. Joining the vampires if you want to be a vampire and gain extra bonuses from it, Dawnguard it you don't.

As for story, it's not much different, same locked companion, and mostly the same quests, there is not a lot of variation, just a different point of view.
