Is Skyrim The Best Game Ever?

The game Elder Scrolls V Skyrim has won one over 200 gaming rewards! Amazing right? And if mods are added like Dovabear, Hialgo, SKSE, ect... its even better! Personally best game ever!

Skyrim is probably one of the most overrated games in recent years, with the Elder Scrolls series being one of the most overrated in the genre. As a whole I'd say the IP is average at best, and no title in said series is worthy of the title best game ever.

I feel like I'm playing a game from the late 90's when I play skyrim. It feels no different than morrowind, probably because it's the same game just retextured, and I dislike just about every character in the game. Without mods the game will glitch or bug out about 5 times everytime you play it. The majority of the time I had to restart it due to freezing on my xbox every time I played for an hour or so. If I had to put this on a top 100 list it would be at the bottom of all games I've played. I used to enjoy it when it first came out and then I was hit with how annoying it is. The AI is the most horrible I've seen in modern games and I saw better AI with Neverwinter Nights than with skyrim. I'm serious, my list can go on and on about the things that bother me about it. Do I have it? Sure. Do I play it? Maybe rarely and with about 195 mods and only to screw around on it. I would rate Project Zomboid a higher game than this and it's made to look crappy, but the story and game play is great. Skyrim hardly feels like a true nordic experience. I feel like I am playing a video game and we want immersion darnit!

It's in my top three list. I prefer AC II and the Witcher 2 to Skyrim. It's story is just too bland and simpleminded.

A) Elder Scrolls games are better when modded. Elder scrolls games suffer heavily from #ABABAPPA and don't deserve to be considered great as-is.

B) Elder Scrolls games have done nothing that I would qualify as revolutionary, unlike something such as the Metal Gear series.

It's not really definitively THE best game ever, however it's definitely worth mentioning. The reason why Skyrim feels slightly dissapointing to me is that when compared to previous Elder Scrolls titles in terms of the gameplay and story, it's lackluster to say the least. Oblivion and Morrowind felt like true RPG's, Skyrim feels like an RPG-lite. I do say though, throughout Oblivion, I constantly felt like someone was holding my hand the entire way through, and Morrowind just didn't make a lot of sense to me, where as in Skyrim, I felt a little more independant, though I do wish that for all three of them that my actions in game should've had a more significant change besides changes in NPC dialogue.

dont elder scrolls games normally win GOTY and get game of the year edition, but skyrim didnt win, so they just called it legenday edition instead, wouldnt what ever game won goty be better than skyrim.
