The Way of The Voice bug/glitched? - Greybeards murder me for fulfilling quest objectives

Every time I perform the Unrelenting Force (Fus) on the talky one like he tells me to all of them murder me with fire and ice.

After it did that a few times I tried using console commands to skip that stage and move to the next one.

Once I then advanced to the part where I need to use Unrelenting Force (Fus Ro) on the ghost Greybeard targets I made absolutely certain I was angled so that only the ghost thing would be hit. They once again decided to murder me for performing the task they gave me. Repeatedly.

I tried using the same trick I did to skip the previous bugged step again to skip to the next stage but while the talky one registers that I should be following one of the others to the courtyard all the others are just rotating out summoning targets. The one I'm supposed to follow to the courtyard just stands in one spot in the foyer/entryway where they gathered between his turns while the others are all wandering around the compound between turns.

Does anyone have any ideas as to how to fix this? Preferably without skipping any more than absolutely neccessary of the questline as I'd like to at least see all of the Main Quest cut scenes with my own character.

Haven't heard of this one yet, did you download any AI mods in the past?

look in magic menu, under active effects and see if you got bit by vampire

Does the Animated Prostitution mod from Nexus count? AFAICT it only added an AI mode for the PC and shouldn't effect NPC AIs...

yes u can be a vampire in the making. And yes AP can cause the problem you are experiencing. I had the same bug. Go back to a save before they started attacking you, uncheck AP and play again.

Lycanthropy makes me immune to diseases, Vampirism is a disease, therefore I can't be a werepyre.

I'll try disabling AP next time though.

Deactivated AP and all other addons under the NPC category of NMM. Still they murder me.

I suppose I'll try disabling everything but the Unofficial Patch mods and see if that helps...
