I need to find a key!

I have been through everything in Fallglow 5 times and cannot find the key for a door to the keep. I let Orthorn out of his cell but he doesn't have the books he stole; said the Caller took them. He won't tell me who that is or where they are. I wish I could put him back in his cell !! I tried to kill him thinking he had the key on him, but of course I can't. We finally went outside and he ran. Now I have to wander in there forever looking for that stupid key or forget about completing the quest. Am I overlooking something obvious and right under my nose?

Follow the quest marker. Also, the Caller is in the keep. Why didn't you just go on uesp? They have a walkthrough of the quest? You don't use the key.

I checked all bodies....following quest marker; I keep winding up at that locked door which says 'to Fallglow Keep'. I will go to your link. Thank you
