AMD Catalyst Omega 14.12 doesn't like my Skyrim
Installed Catalyst Omega 14.12, fired up Skyrim, got to see the smoke in the loading screen rendered as a color instead of as smoke. Start running around and the PC's hair and some background areas start flashing different colors. <sigh>

I played with different AA and AF, game and video card based setting - not exhaustively, but enough to see that no single setting was a fix.

The hair texture is coming from a mod, and there is a pretty good chance that the background textures were also. Consequently, I don't know if it is a problem just with modded textures or if the vanilla game is also affected.

Reverted back to Catalyst 14.9 and the problem went away.

I reported the problem via: http://www.amd.com/report

This page will help non-techies gather the information AMD wants when reporting a problem...

How to gather the optional information for the AMD issue reporting form

So - heads up!

edit: forgot to mention I'm using an HD6770

Waiting new patch AMD...
I also use it HD 6770 and same problem. Texture bug...
I have a radeon 7970, dont have this issue but with the last driver update the new radeon CP wanted to 'optimize my library of games and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ skyrim all up. Kept the driver but reverted the 'optimization' and then uninstalled their CP.

Also, imo, SLI and Crossfire is a joke. One really good card beats two in SLI/Xfire.
I believe in the technology but almost 10yrs later I have set to see it truly implemented into gaming
A wait new update :(
I'm using the same card as you, JohnDoe60. I went right back to ver: 13.152.1.8000 before mine stopped acting up - I might have skipped a few updates between, though. If it ain't broke I don't fix it is my general rule and I regret trying to be all hip and up to date for an unpleasant change.
Even through it's obvious now that a lot people are having problems with the Omega drivers but I want to cue in that I am as well. My video card is an older one (a HD 5xxx series), and with the Omega drivers I get the cloud/mist/fog flickering and changes colors.
A lot of things changed in the Omega drivers and I don't know if we can change any of the settings, example of one of those changes is the ability to change the internal resolution just like the GeForce cards.

Geforce updates are just as screwy. I have a 560ti and quit updating it's drivers. The updates are mostly for the newest cards anyways.
Installed the Omega 14.12 driver recently and was getting the colored fog and the flickering like everyone else. Instead of rolling back drivers I wanted to see if I could try to fix it. My initial thoughts about the problem when I found out it was a driver was "well, usually my first troubleshooting step is to do something with Crossfire". I have two 5800s running in Crossfire mode, and typically I try to disable one of the cards if I'm getting issues with a particular game.

Instead of disabling one of the cards through CCC, I first tried to just run it in "Optimize 1x1" mode. So I set it to Optimize 1x1, launched Skyrim...and no problems! No colored fog during the loading screens, no flickering textures during play. I've been playing about an hour now and haven't experienced any 14.12 issues so far!

So if you don't want to roll back drivers and your rig is running in Crossfire mode, try launching Catalyst Control Center, add a TESV.exe profile and at the bottom of the profile in the "AMD CrossFireX" section, try having "Frame Pacing" set to ON and "AMD CrossFireX Mode" set to Optimize 1x1. Fixed all my problems.
Well I concur nothing then problems atm I have my old rig with a HD 5770 and well the new drivers are one big mess for skyrim. I hope my other rig is ready soon (unexplainable bsods and a new GTX 980)
Well I atm .... lets face it not everybody uses an enb because some people don't have a new 200 euro/dollar plus video card in their rig. If I for instance would set up an enb on my current rig with the HD 5770 the FPS would decrease to 0. Btw I did have weird glitches too and that had NOTHING to do with skyrim settings. I did a rollback and voila problem solved so ...

GOD read my previous posts and you'll see that I'm on my old rig my new rig gets a GTX980 ... so please .... well big news for you you can have this glitches also with a fully modded skyrim and on a rig of 3k+ because it's a DRIVER problem. I've seen my share of modding I think I've got nearly 2.9k hours on skyrim.

Generally speaking, omega driver is for graphic cards whose architecture is GCN:clementineelf:. So,if ur's card is hd5000 or hd6000,like my hd6850:D:, pls stand with the old driver because u will never get the improvement but some bugs:csgoanarchist:.Sorry if there is any Syntax error:medicon:.
Yea never had problems however I have Nvidia since last year and I must honestly say that reverting to old drivers is a lot simpler with Nvidia ... just install the old drivers with the normal setup however with AMD that won't work because a newer driver is present.
