Glitch - Mercer Frey Battle

So I got to the part where I have to finally fight Mercer Frey. The game had been splendid from point A to point B, so I had no concern. I decided to save right outside the sanctuary door, just incase I died, and entered. This is what I hear;

Karliah: He's here, and he hasn't seen us yet. Brynjolf, watch the door.

Brynjolf: Aye lass. Nothing's gettin' by me.

Karliah: Climb down that ledge, and see if you can...

Mercer Frey: Karliah, when will you learn you can't get the drop on me?

After the dialog, the AI just stand there. I tried to move, but I'm frozen in place. I can't move, talk, or see Mercer. The game is unable to continue. I'll try restarting the game after I post this, but if that doesn't work I'd really like your help. I've worked WAAAAY too hard to just give up this for glitched.
