Alternate Start - Live ANother life MAJOR ISSUE
I actually have two issues with this one. When picking the body type for my character the character creation camera zooms out so I can see my body. What happens is that when it zooms out, it goes behind a wall of the prison (since I have alternate start) and I can't see my character. If I try to zoom in, it will zoom in all the way to my face and I still can't see my body. This is frustrating when I want to change the size of my weapons/body. I know it isn't a character customization issue, as I had none and this error was still there. I am pretty sure this is an alternate start error.

My second issue is that when I put showracemenu in the command box, it lets me customize my character, but nothing, and I mean NOTHING is clickable. I have to restart the entire game. When I click on something or press a key to move the slider, this little code like "(F:0009838)" pops up into my screen. When I press different clicks and keys, the numbers change to like "(RP:0034567)" and so forth.

What do?

What to do?
Close the console window you opened for showracemenu command. That is what you do.

The first one is not an error, it is just the way it is. You are placed in a small room and the wall gets in the way at certain distances.

Personally I use Enchanced character Edit, so in the end it does not effect me (it has 3 levels of zoom and only one has this problem)

The second one is not related to Alternate start as I have never encountered it.

I am using RaceMenu. Never encountered this bug either. I honestly do not think that it is a problem with LAL.

I also use enhanced character edit lol. There is either zoom at the whole body, zoom at the face, or zoom extremely close. There is no intermediate.

Do you recommend me just getting showracemenu fixed and then customizing it in a place that has more space where I can see my body?

That is strange, mine is zoom at the whole body, the upper section or the face.

Or in other words, the zooming at the face thing tends to show the chest area and arms as well.

But yes, that is the better solution unless you want to open up CK, load in Alternate start and then edit the starting area there.

Thanks, I'll try reinstalling showracemenu

Am I missing something here? showracemenu is a console command. You said:

Exactly what are you trying to reinstall? Were you speaking some mod and not the default console command? If so, you did not really specify doing so.
