Dragon Elder Scroll bug...

I've searched around and couldn't really find a fix for my problem.. I have Dawnguard DLC and completed that.. but when I got do the main quest and have to ask Urog(sp?) about the elder scroll, there are no dialog options for it only the marker over his head.. I have the elder scroll in my inventory though.. I've tried reading it at the throat... The dragon has no dialog for it... IDK.. ticks me off to have gotten this far only to be bugged out.. and yeah.. I have mods that shouldn't be affecting this.. but who knows.. ANyways, any advice or whatever is greatly appreciated.. thanks.

do you have the unoffical patches installed? also did you try verifying cache.

and lastly where are you exactly with the main quest? usually depending upon where you are dialogue won't show up until you get to that particular part of the quest

I"m at find the location of the elder scroll.. I've tallked to the Partha..... dragon and yes I've got all the unofficial patches installed

ah i see, since you already found the scroll, your next objective is then to read the scroll at the time wound. If you can't then sadly the main quest is bugged

North of Winterhold is where you go a little cave that is out there. The elder scroll is mention during dawnguard play through if you missed it, go there and you will start quest for it.

thanks guys.. I already have the scroll.. and nothing is working for me.. so I was assuming it was bugged..I'll never finish this dang game... ugh

Listen to the dragon, open scroll watch the scene being played out, open shouts and choose dragonrend.

the dragon doesn't say anything.. he hasn't moved from the spot I left him.. and no other dialogs for him.

This can probably be fixed with the console, what is the name of the quest and what stage are you in (current quest description)?

Find the location of the elder scroll... that's the quest line I believe... I"ve looked for console commands..that would b awesome if u know them.. :P

Sorry for my confusion. Just to double check, the quest itself is Elder Knowledge? (Its been a long time since I have done these quests myself).

Assuming that is true , First SAVE YOUR GAME (with a 'new save', not quick save). Console commands work... sometimes. Its always good to have a backup file in case there are undesirable results though. Don't worry about this step too much, this should be a simple, easy and glitch free console fix.

Open the console (with the ~ key) and type
"setstage MQ205 80"
(no ")
Then press 'Enter'

This will change the quest stage to "Recover the Elder Scroll". The game may or may not recognise the elder scroll in your inventory and complete the quest. Make sure you close the console and give the game a few seconds (Closing the console is also done with the ~ key).

If that alone does not fix the quest try these two commands in this order.

"player.removeitem 2d513 1"
Close the console after this and give the game a few seconds again, then use the code.
"player.additem 2d513 1"
Close the console and see what happens.

Let me know if this fixes the quest. I have a couple more methods that may work, but this would be the cleanest (best to try first).

everyone says Urog pays for dragon scroll. but i cant do this. Solution is just remove and add command?
