Nexus for SkyUI mod....NexusMods.com
Skyrim is great, but the interface is mediocre. I would love to get the SkyUI mod. Does the SkyUI mod work well? Can you just download with one click from Nexus? You have to pay to subscribe to NexusMods.com, but I would gladly pay if the mod was an easy install...thanks again everyone!!

You do not need to pay to access Nexus... scroll down to the bottom of the page and create an account. Throw money at them if you want faster downloads or just want to help support them so they can keep the site running.

I'm pretty sure the SkyUI page has installation instructions.

They are the same version, here on Steam and the one on the Nexus. Why bother getting it from the Nexus when you can subscribe to SkyUI on the Steam Workshop?

Because the Steam Workshop method of dealing with mods is too simplistic for Skyrim's needs, requiring the user to jump through hoops to avoid potential problems (like unsubscribing to a mod after installing it so a future update doesn't break your game) - I also don't use the Workshop so I don't know what's there.

Well, my post was directed at mythtrip, and his needs are what I was considering. If clicking a button is a hoop to be jumped through, I would consider it a very simple hoop compared to the headache of fixing a file system trampled by NMM, MO, or manually uninstalling files.
OK, but since we're into it... :)

As far as I can tell, when launching Skyrim through SKSE, which you would be doing if using SkyUI, then your mods subscribed through the workshop will not be updating at every launch. That happens only when you start Skyrim through the Steam client and initiate the launcher. I could be wrong about that, but it is what I have noticed with my own game.
I've had one file that I needed to remove manually after uninstalling a mod, and haven't noticed any trampling going on (and wouldn't if I was using MO since it doesn't install into the Data dir). How do you get rid of a mod installed from the Workshop? I've only heard about subscribing and unsubscribing, and that since unsubscribing doesn't remove the files you need to do it manually (that sounds more like trampling than what NMM does).

Perhaps you should check out the modders here on Steam, for most of them are very talented and some only offer their creative works exclusively for Steam Workshop users.
The same can be said of Nexus, or The Engineering Guild, LL, and I expect there are other places with good, exclusive, mods. Nexus appears to be the place with the most though.
