PC's can be paralyzed - but I don't believe *any* of the mobs in the game actually have this spell/ability so . . .

Only times my character were paralyzed was with "Revenge of Enemies" installed. Some mobs apparently have this, but either they never use it in vanilla game, or it was added from one of my mods.

You should get a mod for it, it seems a bit unfair that the player can paralyze his enemies but they can't do the same to him/her. I liked how you could be paralyzed in earlier games.

Being paralyzed sounds fun, but players get annoyed when they lose control of their character.

I was paralyzed once, but now I can't remember by what. I didn't have any mods that would do it, so it must have been in the vanilla game or DLCs.

There are mods which allow NPCs to use everything available in the game (potions, etc.), and I've come across NPCs in the vanilla game who carry a paralysis staff. So, you can definitely get hit with that effect if you have the right (or wrong) mod, and maybe even in the vanilla game.

Does being frozen count as paralysed?

*IZZ SLEN NUZ*

Well other than that, you can get paralysed if you eat a few things you shouldn't in-game.

I remember a moment when a bandit shot me with a staff of paralysis or sthing like that. (was it a poison? don't remember)

Exactly. Which is why it's not implemented.

Can you imagine just staring at the screen for 5 seconds or so with completely unresponsive controls while other NPC's are whacking the hell out of you? I can see the "WTF!!!" comments on the forums right now.

Try fighting all four Greybeards at once. They'll be freezing you as you try to stand up. Rinse and Repeat.

Actually, one of my builds was paralized by Aela once. She was my follower. I had given her a bow of paralize and we were in a ruin and I got caught in the cross fire, and I was paralized for a bit. In Requiem, frost bite spiders can paralize you.

Do you remember the name of mod? Or anything quite like that?
Anyway guys, thanks for answers!
I'm tempted to play Oblivion and Morrowind now.

Hmmm, no, but it may have been...

ASIS

...or that + some others. It is also possible I didn't read closely and assumed all potions would be used by NPCs with ASIS installed, when they'll really only the health, stamina, and magika potions.

Yeah, when an NPC uses Unrelenting Force, i always get paralyzed for a while
