I can't sit down
I don't know why the f*** this happened but know I won't be able to sit down, and my character simply won't sit, doesn't matter if it's a chair, a horse, a table or a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥, he just won't sit, and it's very annoying cause there are some VERY IMPORTANT few missions that require you put the ass down, like when talking about temporary peace with Ulfric, the GB and General Tullius.
I beg you, help me! I'm dying... :,(

They won't help, I've tried them all and he just keep standing there like an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, no matter how many times I click ''E''

I think Delta 1038 was asking if you have any mods, which may have messed things up... I also think your answer should have been "yes" (or maybe "YES" :) ).

Post a list of the mods you use, in the order they are loaded up into the game, and tell us which tools you use to manage them.

The standard thing to do First is shut down skyrim ... Switch off your computer leave it alone for at least half an hour before proceeding .... .
Then open your games library right click on skyrim open properties click on local files ... click verify cache and let it work .... allowing it to find any missing files.... then make sure that Steam does update these files to fix missing files.
Once steam has updated the files, open the skyrim launcher to reset graphics...Set it to LOW ... you can try higher graphics later but first off Set it to Low and DISABLE Antialising and Antisofic and SSFX . After all that without starting the game .... Shut down again and restart steam before playing the game!
Good luck and please Do try to follow ALL those steps !
What you experience seems to me like an 'Animation" glitch if you have any mods that alter 'Animation" of any type for any character, beast race or creature you need to find that first & deactivate it. I use 5 tools to run Skyrim FNIS, SKSE, LOOT, Wrye Bash & the Dual Sheath Redux Patcher... Which stabilize the game rather well & if issues arise the combination i use quickly solves my problems, first chect to se if you have "Animation" altering mods...

I have recently been getting Warnings from FNIS & i could not figure it out, only then after i "Verified" game files, FNIS no longer generated these Warnings it appears to me that Skyrim was recently updated. Some mods will cause these things if they don't have the most current SKSE or Skyrim Version updates (almost all Animation mods for Skyrim use FNIS)....

Haemorrhoids, maybe? :P

I suggest deactivating first all mods, and try to run vanilla. If you can't with current characters, create a new one for these tests. Check if you can play normally and if all commands work correctly.

If you can, then try, without changing load order, to activate again your mods one by one. Each time check again with your testing character. That way we'll be able to detect where is the problem.

I did as you say and it could not help, how can I run vanilla? Or is there a console command to 'sit' ? hahah

It's an issue with the player AI, go to console and TAI yourself until your AI is on, should work then.

Your response was 4 years too late, and I'm responding to it 2.5 years later, but it just fixed my game when I was having the same issue. Thank you

I had that problem recently. I re-loaded an older save to get it to work.

What does "TAI yourself" mean and how do you do it?

...And another addition to this thread a year later :)

It helped me today, maybe it'll help someone else again. It means to type "tai player" in the console (type "~" in-game to access the game console). It will also fix mining, which I also couldn't do. You may have to exit and re-enter your location for the mining to work properly. I was in a cave when I ran this command and then the mining animation played but I didn't get ore and it didn't stop automatically. Leaving and re-entering the cave fixed that. It also fixed my "can't sit" issue.
