Get rid of my horse
I bought a horse in Lakeside Manor. I've used it once just to see how does it works and braught the horse back to the stables. Now he follows me evrywhere i Go. Every time I fast travell he appears.
Howcan I just put him back in the stables and forget about him?

I dont belive in killing horses.
Bummer, I guest i will just ride into a giant camp and flee. Maybe a giant will solve my problem. Dragons can be a good solution. KIA

Pretty much everytime I visit Lakeside Manor I get attacked. To date it's been 2 dragons, 1 giant, several groups of bandits and the necromancer site just behind the property gets a reguar refill of novice spellcasters. If this is your experience also, the answer to your horse problem may be at home!

Me, I'm just waiting for the vampires to realise where I'm camped out........

Maybe install a horse management mod like..
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/14950/?

You could try it to see if your horse behaves, then once you get him to stay somewhere, maybe you could uninstall the mod when you no longer needed it. That, or abandon him in a place he can't return from. I hear Blackreach is lovely this time of year...

Convenien Horses, that EbonHawk linked above, has a feature to prevent horses from following you, if you fast travel. From MCM, select the option that stops game from tracking your last ridden horse. Then they will stay where you leave them, instead of magically appearing everywhere you go.

I am usually playing stealthy characters, with a bunch of survival mods. Horse is essential for my character, because carrying all that stuff to survive in the region like Pale would make any looting almost impossible. Convenient Horses allows you set carry weight to your horse (as I do), or just cheat and use it like a chest without limits.

I do not fast travel (at all), but I do sometimes use carriages. I do not wish my horse to appear next to me from the stable I had left it, so I have prevented the game from tracking it.

Horeses used by thieves should not fight. I have set MCM to prevent horses from fighting. Instead of charging, it runs away from the batle.

I do not always want it follow me, when I have dismounted to scout the area. (Convenient horses do not follow you, while you are sneaking or in combat - unless you have told them to figh.) There are hotkeys that I can use to tell my horse to either stay put or follow.

I can warmly recommend this mod for everyone. :)

I have GOT to rethink my "no horses" policy. I can't carry a sack of potatoes right now, much less a dungeon full of loot. Thanks for that reminder too.

wait until you have Shadowmere, I swear that horse is immortal, and everyone attacks him not me. Plus he is always getting between me and my quarry :( One day I will kill him I swear it!

He is not immortal. As a spirit, he can rise again, though.

I didn't have those troubles with Shadowmere. He was too helpful, it was uncanny. And he's not immortal. Just jump him off a cliff and see how immortal he is. Or, let him fight an elder dragon. *munch*

I kind of guessed but I know that I can kill him, only he is useful in some ways. I do prefeer to run from place to place and avoid him like that, just so long as I have plenty of free space in my inventory.

I still have to do the theives quest though, I am guessing that I might need him then?

You don't ever NEED him, I don't think. Except for maybe a quest, but he's just too convenient, so I dismissed him. Pretty sure he's not required for anything though.

Thanks, I will try dismissing him, or at least the other horse, I really don't need 2 horses :o

How the hell did you dismiss a horse? If you used a mod, please leave me a link!
