Defeating Lurker at Wind Stone
Sorry, but I need help again :( I've used various shouts and scrolls plus my sword but this horrible thing keeps killing me over and over. Is there something in particular that will defeat this horror?

What level are you?

Maybe your weapons are too weak? What armour/weapons are you using? If you can't kill them, use a scroll. They're pretty good. Having a companion or a conjured minion is good for fighting or distracting it.

The Dragonborn DLC is for a high level. You may not be high enough to kill it safely. Perhaps you should employ a companion to assist you.

If you crouch you can sometimes land a sneak attack on them as they appear which might help a little, but it will still be difficult if your level is too low.

My level is 9, I have a companion, I have Bonemold armour, I have a Stormfang two-handed sword, I used my Dragon Aspect which was suppose to be powerful, but didn't help me much, I still died.

Waaaaayyy to low level I mean some struggle even with level 40-50. I mean level 9 ... no significant smithing improvement .... no significant buffs in armor (perks) no damage output (perks).

I would not be wandering about Solstheim at level 9. There is other tough stuff out there besides lurkers. Personally I would wait until level 20 or so. But that's just me, your mileage may vary according to your difficulty and skillset.

Hmmmm....no wonder. But I don't understand why I was sent on this quest. I certainly didn't seek it. OK, problem solved then. I'll back off and go home and sell stuff :) Thanks for that info SpeedFreak.

I personally use a mod to postpone the initial cultists attack ... I've set it after defeating Alduin.

Well it's being hard because of your level as others have pointed out. Doing Dragonborn with a new character is equivalent to doing New Vegas' Lonesome Road in a new character - may be possible but sure as heck it's going to be hard.

Here is what I recommend, use all helpful potions as possible, try to hide around a corner and slowing take him down with a bow, that is my recommendation, use destruction spells if you get really desperate. Good luck! Hope this helped.

Going to Solstheim at level 9 is suicide.

To help you get through this: Toggle God Mode. ( ~tgm enter ~ )
It will get you through it.
Hope you learn your lesson.
Now get out there and level up.
