XP32 Skeleton Issues
I decided that I wanted to use the XP32 SKeleton Replacer to move around my quivers, and allow me to use the dual sheath mod. I already have Fnis and have never really done much as far as poses and animations go so I decided to give them a try.

The issue I am having seems to be with the skeleton only. When in third person if I am blocking with a shield and move any direction it lowers my shield. I still move slowly like when blocking but take hits like Im not blocking. A similar thing happens with dual casting magics, when moving the hands are no longer raised and the spells shoot out from what appears to be my characters groin lol

Im guessing I messed up the install or something and have read through the instructions and attempted installing it multiple times but still hav the same issues. If anyone has had this and fixed it please let me know. I would like to play with animation mods but not if they are going to make it so I cant fight third person from time to time.

Try reinstalling the Skeleton again, if asked overwrite all files. Make sure your Skeleton is at the bottom of yor load order. Also make sure you run the newest SKSE and XP32

cmoa gave good advice, except that XPMS does not have Bethesda plugins file for load order. It relies on mod prioryt, meaning installation order in NMM or position in priority list in MO.

I want to know if Mog-Dog is using XPMS or Groovtama's XMPSE? They are both available from the same site, but XPMSE would require SKSE 1.7.2 to work properly.

The installation order was already explained, but here is one for the road. I am actually going to update it today, to reflect the change in XPMSE requirements.

Custom animations and skeletons

Reinstall XP32 Skeleton and If that fails then do this...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Body Mod first...
2. XP32 Skeleton second...
3. Wrye Bash third (Optional)...
4. FNIS Utility fourth...
5. LOOT Utility fifth...
6. Dual Sheath Patcher LAST...

I have the newest SKSE, and the latest XP32. Ive been playing with it and I cannot get it to do anything other than what I have already described. I have tried the regular XP32 and the Groovtama version just in case. No changes there. As far as I can tell it does not seem to function any other way. Something odd which I just noticed... After I uninstalled the skeleton earlier and reinstalled it, now it does now show in my plugins list but it is loading into the game as I can see the changes in the blocking/casting animations when I install the skeleton.

Just out of curiosity, does this not happen for you guys using this? When either blocking or dual casting spells in third person your character basically drops his hands to his sides when you move?

That may be a problem with your animations then. Are you using an anim replacer?

XPMS should not show in your plugins list. It does not have Bethesda plugin file assosiated with it.

XPMSE itself does not have this type of file, except optional weapon position/node slider pack for RaceMenu3. Do you have that active without RaceMenu?

Skeleton should always be the last thing in your mod priority. Only SkyProc patcher files (and all other Overwrite files in MO) should be above it. Your comment is technically correct, but you did not mention animation at all.

All animations should be installed before skeleton. If and when animations are installed later, they must not be allowed to overwrite the skeleton.

In NMM this means saying "No" to all files attempting to overwrite the skeleton.

With MO it is just a matter of moving animation files above the skeleton, when Mod List is ordered according to priority.

no animations installed currently. Right now I am just trying to get it to work with the dual sheath mod. I know its the skeleton causing the issues because if I purposefully install the sheath mod wihout the skeleton everything is fine except some weapons show up under my feet. Which is the result of not having the skeleton, and with just the skeleton and no sheath mod I still get the same issue.

I do have racemenu installed and the skeleton last. Is there another skeleton I could try? I looked around for one but did not find much other than other peoples versions or addons to xp32

Have you ticked the boxes in FNIS !!!
Mog-Dog 20 ENE 2015 a las 13:08
Not sure what you mean, I know there are boxes to check for patches, but Im not using any of those animations yet. I dont see a box for the skeleton... holy crap! The arm fix... now I feel pretty stupid. I opened it while typing this. I will try that and see what happens, hopefully it fixes the issue, if not then I will still be lost.
Mog-Dog 20 ENE 2015 a las 13:14
Thank you guys so much! That worked. I feel like an idiot now, I wasnt checking the arm fix in the FNIS patches. Thanks for helping me work through my stupid though :)

I had the same issue, fixed by twaking on fnis once again.
The weird part was, I did complety unistalled fnis, or so I though I did. Eventually I was going to tweak there, though I was like "how it could make any conflict, if I've unistalled long ago," but anways, if anybody ever installed fnis before, they'll have to keep it installed, if they want to use xp32 at least, with shields.

I just installed XP32 after installing FNIS and have a problem where the controls go wonky from the beginning of the game. Once I get to Helgen Keep and get my cuffs removed by Haadvar/Rolaf, I can finally look around and go to 3rd person mode, but the camera either goes all the way up or down depending on where I try to look. I've tried using GenerateFNISForUsers and TES5Edit to look for rogue scripts and have reinstalled several times but the camera issue still persists. Does anyone know how to fix this?
