and then press ~ to close the console. That should, in theory, reset the artificial intelligence of the NPC. In my experience, it is hit or miss. Sometimes they go back to normal for me, and sometimes they don't, or they do only briefly and then go right back to what they were doing.
It's a start, though. Here are a couple of pages of useful console commands. Be careful with them, though, and make sure you read the warnings before trying things. Always save before you do a console command, juuust in case.
