Need Help for a firend with a glitch in the Darkfall Passage

A friend of mine can't access the portal to the Forgotten Vale because when he gets to the wayshrine, Prelate Sidanyis is always in a crawling position and can't open a dialogue with him. He has redone the quest 3 times, left and came back, has Serana with him, and even has attacked him and nothing.

Can anyone help? His game is also up to date

Has he tried targeting him, in console, and typing resetai ?

How does he do that? I have the 360 version and he is using the PC version

Use the ~ key to open console, then point at the NPC with the mouse and click. He should see a number appear beneath the crosshairs. Type

resetai

and then press ~ to close the console. That should, in theory, reset the artificial intelligence of the NPC. In my experience, it is hit or miss. Sometimes they go back to normal for me, and sometimes they don't, or they do only briefly and then go right back to what they were doing.

It's a start, though. Here are a couple of pages of useful console commands. Be careful with them, though, and make sure you read the warnings before trying things. Always save before you do a console command, juuust in case.
