Bound Bow or Auriel's Bow?

When I cast Bound Bow it shows my damage as 132. When I equip Auriel's Bow with Sunhallowed Arrows, the damage shows as 75.

I am wondering if this is correct? Via google I saw some posts where people insisted Auriel's Bow was the best bow in the game, but they didn't mention the Bound Bow in their comparisons.

Should I keep using the Bound Bow? Or is Auriel's better in some way I don't know about? (not counting the triple damage against undead, which makes it a no-brainer in situations against undead). I know it makes small explosions but I'm assuming those do the bow's damage in an AOE.

what kind of arrows are equipped with auriels bow? temper the heck out of it.

i still prefer the bound bow

there should be light arrows or something with auriels, i can knock giants fatrther then FU-RO-DAH with auriels so yea auri but deaderic is wayyy better :D

The Sunhallowed Elven Arrows or w/e they are. I have about 70 of them. Auriel's Bow base damage is 49, plus the arrows it goes up to 75. Adding the sun damage would give it around 95 base damage. But the Bound Bow seems so much stronger at 132!

I haven't entirely leveled up my smithing/enchanting yet so I can't make anything better than my Bound Bow. But I'm a little surprised it's still stronger than Auriel's Bow, which had a whole DLC oriented around it... haha...

you make the comparisons. read the bound notes for bows

add in damage from arrows. daedric arrows for bound

The Bound Bow has the same damage as a Daedric Bow with Daedric Arrows, from my understanding. If it does more damage then that's that, I guess... perhaps I'll hold on to Auriel's for quests strictly involving undead. 95 x 3 damage sounds delicious for a story-obtained item...

lol did u make Auriels Bow legendary?? Legendary will OP anything so try and make it legendary then talk :D

Looks like the Bound Bow definitely does more damage, but the Auriel's would be more powerful against undead.

Nope! I'll stash it until I'm able to upgrade things to a legendary quality. Can't do it yet. Thanks for the suggestion, def gonna check it out when I can.

On the character I decided to go Dawnguard side (purely for the upgraded crossbows) I ended up liking the improved dwarven crossbow at legendary. the bolts cap out at dwarven (+ elemental damage) but the bow itself has the highest damage per shot, if not per second, and with the stacked stagger+stagger perk, armor penetration, and ability to fire without drawing after a load, it is effectively a sniper rifle in playstyle. On a separate note, you can temper a daedric bow if you want to, as well.

bruhh understand that once you make it legendary there will be no other bow in yo life :D

Bound bow is the same as a Daedric bow stats wise, however 132 is still an awful lot for an untempered daedric bow

you must have some other perks that increase damage on bound weapons, or a mod to the same effect
