With Bardic Knowledge, It's just acting like a "support" companion rather than something useful. This one isn't really needed if you have a ton of stamina, it is needed however, if you don't have a lot of stamina and you deplete your stamina like crazy, also if your allies are well equip then this "power" isn't very useful either.
I would, in my opinion, recommend getting the secret servant, just because if you treasure hunt the dungeons, basically picking up everything that isn't "nailed down" you don't want to be over encumbered and so far into the dungeon.
Not so "typical" - most of what he stocks is daedric equipment, both enchanted and unenchanted. 2000 gold refreshing on a fairly regular basis.
Bear in mind that Black Book bonuses aren't "set in stone". There's nothing stopping you from re-reading the book later and choosing a different perk.
This should especially be kept in mind when reading The Sallow Regent - one of its bonuses improves smithing, another alchemy, and the remainder enchanting. When crafting, you'll want to switch between these often.
Ah thanks for the save Bomb Bloke. It's been a while since i used that particular power. but yeah as Bomb Bloke mention these powers are set in stone you can go back to them if you feel unsatisfied or bored with them
