Winterhold teachers bug

I've asked all of them none seem to sell any spells to me I mean give the option to. Can anyone help?

Orc in the library does not sell any spells.

Did you mean that they do not even have any options, or stores just are not opened? Did you finish the "First Lessons" with Tolfdir, before trying to speak with them?

Asked all of them after I finished that with Tolfdir or even staff of magnus quest none give the option as "do you sell any spells" this option wasn't there.

It is under the normal trade menu that you use with any other merchant. They sell spells as spelltomes under the 'Books' section. Remember each Jarl's keep has a Court Wizard that sells spelltomes as well.

Yes that's what I meant Winterhold teachers don't have the option to get on to the trade menu.

How far are you through the College Questline? Part way through the Staff of Magnus quest the members of the college lose their normal interactions, so you may be unable to trade

That sounds like a bug. Usually this is just a runaway script and it gets dealt by loading a previous save, but your character is so far that fixing this may be hard.

This bug is not listed or directly approached in UESPWiki or Unofficial Skyrim Patch. This may be just a general script error fixed in USKP.

No but I have other mods like apocalypse would that effect it?

I think up to Expert, yes. Each one has a specialisation too.

No. Highest level spells and some special spells are sold by college vendors only, unless that got changed in some point.

Unless something in your load order is messed up, then it should not matter. Those spells are sold trough standard vendors.

I recommend that you backup your saves, install Unofficial Skyrim Patch + DLC pathces (if any) and run LOOT to sort your load order.

Because master list spells are quest related.

I don't see any reason to avoid Unofficial Patches. They fix a wide variety of bugs and inconsistencies from the game.

Running LOOT is practically required for each modded game, after every time you change items in your load order. Otherwise scripts are not being launched in the proper order. That can - and will - cause problems.

IM A TURNIP <-idk, but anyways this is very strange as they should be able to sell you the spells, me I choose to avoid most problems involving mages (wont say why...just grudges) but even though it may pain you a lot, start from a later save from before you have discovered winterhold
