Sometimes scripted dragon get stuck with what ever effect protected them prior of battle. You can try the following.
- Engage the battle
- Open console (halts the screen)
- Target Alduin trough it
- disable [ENTER] -> make sure Alduin disappears from the screen.
- enable [ENTER] -> make sure he comes back.
- Close console and beat the pesky dragon.
This is the same trick that was used to level followers (back in the day...) and clean up effects from Alduin and others dragons for combat. It merely resets characters, so any effects they had on should now be gone.
Real dragons or spectral dragons? Dragon mods will allow Alduin call latter ones.
Just for fun: I think Gopher's MQ Finale is quite iconic SkyRe\DD\DCO combat. I have the same combination and my own battle with Alduin looked somewhat same, except that I spent a long time dying, before getting the upper hand. :p

Also, my Alduin can onehit everything on the lowest difficulty and got too much hp xd
but this is because i love getting killed over and over and over again. and like to press F5 and F9. and like loading crashes.
