[Need Help!] Snow Textures Purple and Black!
I've been modding Skyrim and I finally got all my mods to work with LOOT and TESS5EDIT (I use the Nexus Mod Manager.) I have a lot of texture mods, and I'm not sure why, but the snow textures in my game either stay purple or flash black and purple, from afar and when approaching. There are also tons of rocks popping out of the snow that are on the roads. If anyone can help, I'd be very thankful.

You are using a mod that replaces snow textures. Disable all the mods that do that. Afterwards verify integrity of game cache and make sure you have read the mod descriptions correctly

If I were to verify, this would restore the textures for the snow, correct? I cleared some of the cluttered extra files for the Skyrim.esm and Update.esm with the TESS5EDIT. So verifying would bring them back, but would it be a problem if I launch with the SKSE or a detriment to any other mods?

Snow textures are usually loose files, so no, verifying doesnt help as all the vanilla files are in bsa archives.
You need to UNINSTALL your mods.

Also what have you been doing with your files in tes5edit?

I've been applying filter for cleaning, removing identical to master records, and undeleting and disabling references. I did what you said: uninstall the snow texture mods and verify game cache. This didn't help, the textures remain the same.

Sounds like its a mod that alters landscape and its missing snow meshes/textures or its corrupt or you've installed it wrong. What mods do you have installed that alter landscape and snow and things like that.

I didn't have every single one activated, as I switched back and forth to see what the differences were, but I have 4k Quality Snow HD, Alternative Snow, Climates of Tamriel - Weather Patch - Snow, and Road Snow Footprints 2k. I'm not sure if these effect the textures at all, but I also have Expanded Snow Systems for Climates of Tamriel and No Snow under The Roof.

Why don't you deactivate them all, then activate them 1 at a time and see which one is the culprit. Is it doing it for 4K and Alternative Snow cos they are just altering the snow textures?

I tried doing this but nothing seems to change.

Textures usually don't need an esp to activate. Even if you disable the esp and it doesn't load the custom mesh, it should still try to load the texture unless it was located in a custom folder. Try deleting the mod altogether. Either try reinstalling it properly or get a non corrupt copy of the mod.

If you have parallax and an enb, try using the parallax fixes in the enblocal ini.

I have unfortunately tried to utilize the fixes in the enblocal.ini, but unfortunately this didn't do anything.
