Rich Beggars
Those beggars who train people demand from 200 to 6000 bucks a session. With that kind of money they could live like kings, but nah they stay beggars. Wtf Bethesda?

Try picking a beggar's pocket, they are loaded.

That's because you only see them in their working clothes... at work

It's no different than real life. A lot of beggars out there aren't actually homeless, in fact, many of them probably have nicer things than you do. I saw a video once where a lady pretended to be homeless with MS, walking around with canes attached to each arm. The news crew followed her after she was done begging, she went into a building, then came out dressed in clothing that would probably cost me 2 months of work to afford, then got into a nice car.

So those beggars who teach you things are the Skyrim equivolent of that. :\

except if you follow them they spend all night in the cold and never do actually make anything with their money

If you were a amazing thief would you run around flaunting all this money that you made out of thin air? Might make the guards and Jarl some what suspicious.

They're not beggars. They're skooma addicts. Addicts aren't gonna spend money on food, they'll spend it on what they're addicted to. They'll eat garbage if they have to.

they should make that a job in the next game.

skooma's 20 gold a bottle. they can have 10 by training a noob, 300 by training an expert. Theyd have WAY enough to spend on food and get their daily dose

You underestimate what an addict will do to get their fix.

Because Bethesda doesn't understand an actual economy. Just look at Cheydinhal in Oblivion, where there was a problem with corrupt guards incurring fines on the citizens. Tellingly, a Dark Elf says that she was fined 5 gold, and that she doesn't make that much in A YEAR. Then you go to any food selling merchant and what do you find? A loaf of bread selling for 1 gold.

So are you going to tell me that the normal person can't even buy five loaves of bread in a given year?

So yeah, either Bethesda doesn't understand this sort of thing... or every merchant ever is price gouging your character.
