Farm grinding wheel - grain mill

I was thinking I could make powdered mammoth tusk here
When I carry mammoth tusks the farm grinders give me an activate thing but it seems to do nothing
Do I need some special things other than mammoth tusk?
I looked for a wiki and it seems to state you have to find it, not make it, but with the option showing up it makes me think there must be some way to make it.

Unless there is a mod for that, the grinding wheels don't do anything as far as i know. The option to activate the grinding wheel will always show up, but all it does is make your character work the wheel, there are no benefits. It's there just for the sake of immersion.

That is why I found it odd, because the option does not show up unless I am carrying them... Im going to try some different things to see when it shows the option, its got me curious now. :D

The wheel (Mill) will make flour from wheat. Only the Giants have the knowledge to grind any other substance :-)

Yes, i forgot about that (on account that i never use it). :P

GunsForBucks, check if you have wheat in your inventory maybe that's what's prompting the option to appear. Or maybe you need to grind the mammoth tusk longer than wheat. :P

I doubt it though, someone would have noticed already. :)

Use the Hearthfire edition if you have that DLC, as I do.
