Coffin bug
Hi I'm doing the quest "whispers in the dark" where I need to enter the coffin and eavesdrop on cicero. So I enter a coffin I hear him humming and then he stops and nothing happends. Do you know how to deal with this ?

Try and reload an earlier save. This particular quest sometimes bugs out there. You can also try using the Wait function to let an hour pass while INSIDE the Night Mother's coffin. If you've got a save point just prior to entering the coffin, try loading that, exiting the Dark Brotherhood's sanctuary, and re-entering it.

Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any easy quest state-related console command for this particular bug. You can't just change the quest's state through the console.

Hang in tight, though - this is one of the best questlines in the game, IMO.

This happens if you close the iron doors of the Nightmother's room.
Keep an iron door open and it should work properly.
Thank you @WeaselBiggs The Wait function worked perfectly.

This brother gets it, the reload and re-entering the sanctuary tips didn't help, but leaving the iron door open helped in my case
