Can someone lock this thread?

And for what purposes currently are you using wait time, just asking, maybe not use it as much ?

Waiting for day time when it's night.

You can use console to alter the time scale. Make a save first, though, every time. I do this when I want to do a 30 day wait/reset, and don't feel like waiting for 24 hrs, 30 times. When I do that, of course, I use a much faster time, as below

Use ~ to open console, type

set timescale to 200000 (two hundred thousand)

~ to close console

Count 31 sun blinks, then reopen the console, and type

set timescale to 20 (twenty is the default timescale setting)

Close console.

For your purposes, just waiting from night to day, maybe do 2000, instead of 20. That should put you in day time pretty quickly. Don't forget to set it back, as soon as you get where you want.

Ok so I finally caved in and got a mod to reduce the amount of time to do mining, but I guess I was always OK with the amount of time needed to sleep or wait through the night. But that's one reason I like games with debug consoles or mods --- whenever you think of something you want, chances are someone already made a mod for it or can offer another solution for it.

Good info to know about reducing the wait time.

- Sleeping in any bed will allow +5% skill experience increase for 8 hours.
- Sleeping in a bed you own will allow +10% skill experience increase for 8 hours.
- Sleeping near to your spouse will allow +15% skill experience increase for 8 hours.

Werewolf can not gain rested bonuses, but if you are one, then there is littel reason to waste the night just by standing around. If you are a vampire, then there is even less reason to just stand there.

So... what's the point of waiting over nights?

I'm not sure I understand the point of this thread... Are you saying that the few seconds it takes for the little timer slider to tick down the hours is too long?

To Skip the waiting:
type tfc into the console and wait/sleep as you normally would. The clock will go from x to 1 in a second.

toggle free cam, not toggle collision, but seriously, this post is 1 and a half years old....

or just do tfc in the console then exit press ur wait time button then say you put it up to 24hrs when it gets to 20hrs it will skip the 20 then open console then type tfc to have control your character

OP, you have to be joking.
Wait time and sleep time both count down by the second. Wating 24 hours is waiting JUST 24 SECONDS.
COME ON MAN!!! WHAT IS YOUR MALFUNCTION????

Hey thickskull, I already resolved this question over a year ago. All you're doing is proving your own inability to refrain from insulting people with legitimate curiosities.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO do NOT do this. Touching the timescale in a gambryo game WILL break quests and NPC timers. Do NOT EVER do this. It will also cause save corruption. It's been linked to corruption multiple times. The only values that I've seen without a shadow of a doubt to be safe to use have been 20 and 10 .....Everything else I've seen has caused issues.
