What's the best mod for collection?
Hello, I'm looking for a player home similar to the Underground Hideout for New Vegas... Now I do not need a sorting system like NV mod (although it would be a pleasant addition :3), but I'd like a player home that doubles as some sort of museum, in the NV mod you can put your weapons on display in the Armory, which gives it more of a "collect them all" feel to it...

I'd like something similar that delivers that "collect them all" feel but for Skyrim.

Preferably for Vanilla Skyrim as I do not own any DLCs for it yet.

I've found a couple of interesting mods... but all of them require at least one of the DLCs.

why mot just buy the DLC or get legendary version of skyourin

The main reason most Player home mods need DLCs, is that the large majority of cool household items, gizmos and thigamajigs are from, or associated with the DLCs in the creation kit I believe. Not possitive on that fact, just what I've been able to determine fron reading the mod discription and from here on the forum.

So you may have to get the DLCs if you want any type of museum home/castle.

Just checked Steam Workshop, type Player Homes No DLCs into search bar in the workshop and pick the one that fits your needs.

Good job reading the post.

Here is hands down the best house mod I've ever seen/used:

Edit: It doesn't look like it requiers dlc but it has patches for it.

Okay... I found probably the best mod for this (which I can't use since I don't have DLCs).
http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52248/?tab=2&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fmodfiles%2F%3Fid%3D52248&pUp=1

So I'll use this chance to bump this thread so other players (who may or may not be looking for something like this) can check out!

Also I think this'll be my current house mod in the meantime (until I can get the DLCs) Thanks for the link :D

You said you dont have the DLCs right now, so it wont be an option at this exact moment, but when you do, well you said you were looking for something like a mueseum with a player house.... Why not get the actual museum mod? (with player house attached)
Legacy of the Dragonborn (Dragonborn Gallery)[www.nexusmods.com]

Dragonborn Gallery adds in:

  • Displays for all shrines, and standing stones, that appear automatically as you discover them, instead of being there from the start
  • Ability to craft replicas of items that you can use for the displays so you can keep doing gameplay with the originals
  • Massive halls for display of animals and areas in the world that you can create
  • New collectables and items, along with a great quest for futher collecting

Yes. I know this mod (in fact in my last post I put a link to it). And as soon as I get the DLCs this will be the first thing I install on my game. I already downloaded both the mod and most of their patches.... although I don't have them installed (for obvious reasons)

I love this mod. Works without DLC's. Its called dovakins hideout.

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/12553/?

It has manequins, chests, bed, rooms, crafting area's/tables, all stones and shrines, a merchant, some trainers also somewhere to put your dragonmasks and doors to all of your houses in skyrim (though obvioulsy no doors to get to any of the houses in the dlc's).
