You have completed both the Civil War and the Dragonborn questlines and yoru character is level six???

Do you have any mods installed that alter/add to the existing homes?

no, i didnt do the story,i did it as faar as defending whiterun, and i had to kill the dragon in order to do it,and i desided to buy a house to store my dragon bones/scales but i cant the steward dosent have the option

The Live Another Life mod will do that to you. For some reason, you HAVE to start out the original way or you can't buy a house anywhere.

is there a way i can used consle commands to add it

I thought there was a property owner option in that mod, where you could chose any house except the one in Windhelm to start the game with as the owner?

Are you using the Unofficial Patches from Nexus?

If you have Lydia you have done all quests for getting Breezehome.
Live Another Day dont mix anything whit the houses.
4PinP have wrong there. You can get all houses in start but not the one in Whindhelm as Roscaria says.
And he also talks about Unoffical Patches. Install them if you dont have them.

Dont use console you can have missed something, have you got confirmation from the Jarl that he will tell his Steward that you can buy one properity?
Have you got the Stone for the wizard?
I think you must do one mission in Riverwod to. Not sure.

This is why I never use mods - they'll always ruin the game's software.

Right. So the user of the mod has no responsibility, a bit like the drunken/drugged driver of a car?

you have to Be with the StormClocks i think or end up being a yaul and do five good deeds for Whiterun then you can be a hourse owner and the gaurds you can tell them to go awaye

Good Luck

The 'good deeds' part of game is usually to become Thane, not to be able to buy a house. To get the house you usually have to do favours specifically for the Jarl .
