Witch hunter builds?
Witch hunter has always been my favorite of the 'pre-built' classes. But since so many effects are missing in Skyrim, i've been trying to make a build that feels similar even though it isn't exact.

So any suggestions on ways to make my archer feel like a hunter of magic users? I don't want to go heavy on magic since that would feel hypocritical for RP reasons. But Alchemy seems a good fit since I can emulate spells and effects with the added bonus of having to prepare before 'hunts'.

3000 points of poison health damage, does that sound good to you. 1 jarrin root + 1 crimson root = 3,000 pts when your Alchemy is at 100 and fully perked.

If you're looking to create a witch hunter build, I suggest you take the following skills:

1) Archery
2) Block
3) Illusion
4) Conjuration
5) Light Armor
6) Sneak

I've just created the same build with these skills, and I think I might have another witch hunter in my arsenal of characters. You'll also want to keep your magic somewhere around the range of 200-250 as the only two spells you'll need are bound bow and invisibility. Health should be about 350-400 and stamina would likely be about 500. The stats for those attributes are for characters who have hit level eighty-one; I'm pretty sure those are similar stats of my recent character.

Does this help in some way?

@Trigger Human flesh + jarrin root + falmer ear. Also a rather good poison.

Okay, I guess I've had the whole "witch hunter" class completely wrong in my head then. Guess I should have known really since I've played both the first two Witcher games.

The build I had envisioned in my head involved someone opposed to using magic themselves but still had to rely on enchanted items and potions. Is there such a class that uses a minimalistic approach to magic-using but still hunts monsters/dark magicians that dabble in dark magic or cursed artifacts? Would that even be possible due to the nature of their work? I don't think a pure non-magic-using build would be possible, given what their targets are. Does anyone know of such a character?
