Problem with CBBE (Caliente's Beautiful Bodies Edition mod)
Well as you may know, the CBBE mod adds the option to create beautiful faces in the character creation, I wanted to make a pretty female wood elf which is not possible without this mod because the default elves all have nasty folds around the mouth which prevent them from being beautiful. I prefer having a character which looks nice because I have more fun playing then (my pretty female wood elf is level 88 now so this is the only character I got far enough with to meet the Ebony Warrior)... Well the huge problem with this mod is that not only the own character face gets overhauled but as well those from all the female NPCs, and not in a nice way. I do much like the default look of the other characters, I just want to edit my own character.

So I wanted to ask if there is an option to only apply the changes this mod adds to the own character but NOT to the NPCs in the game. Thank you :)

As far as I know, the answer is no. Since the models and textures used by the PC is also used for the default NPCs.

You can use separate body for your character, but it requires using a custom race. There are custom race builds that are based to CBBE, but I have personally never used them.

Vanilla clothes are not compatible with CBBE body form and it is recommended to use CBBE compatible clothes in game. If you would fix only your character to use CBBE body, then all clothes in the game would be uncompatible with you. If you woud replace them with CBBE clothes, then those clothes would be uncompatible with females using default bodies.

If you decide to use a custom race and limit the body mod to your character alone, remember to pick some clothes mods that are designe to that body and do not replace default clothes from the game, or vanilla females would look a bit silly with them.

Ok :( Argh that's mean. But logical. Well then I think I have to go on looking at those unnatural faces... :/ But thank you for the asnwers :)

CBBE is tricky, you can use the vanilla faces there are one option in the installer for CBBE for not using the heads. But the colors can missmatch.

npc set weight =100 in CK most are 50, CBBE uses 100
Changing this number fixes mismatch colours in faces.

I just uninstalled the mod and activated it again without choosing the face pack, and now all the female characters look vanilla and great but my female wood elf looks HORRIBLE now without the face pack since I created it whilst the face pack was active... argh does anyone know how to apply the face pack only to the own character? xD

Remember to install TexBlend that comes optional with CBBE installer. Run it once after you have created your character and started the game. It should fix the neck seam from meshes and render the discoloration matter meaningless, without the need to change character weights.

I am personally using SG Female Textures Renewal. I installed femalehead.nif from Enchanted Character Edit as a separate file, so I can use RaceMenu to work with my characters - without installing ECE on it's side. I only mention this, because I think these textures have least obvious neck seam with current version of CBBE, after characters afe fixed wtih TexBlend.
