Vampire/werewolf bug o.O
Hey there, I'm having a small issue with my game. I completed the companions questline, became a werewolf, great. Then I completed the dawnguard expansion and sided with the vampires, just so I could get the vampire mastery achievement. I did this and decided I preferred being a werewolf so asked Aela to make me a werewolf again. Now I have the beast form power, but I also have the vampires weakness to sunlight and fire? I don't have the ability to change into the vampire lord, and Falion does not have the option to cure the vampirism despite the quest being in my log. Going outside triggers the message 'your vampire blood boils in the sunlight' and occasionally I get the message 'your vampire powers recede as you feed', this seems to be when one of my followers or conjured creatures kills an enemy. Not sure what to do to fix this, it's an annoying bug and I don't want to go back many saves to fix it (took me a while to notice). Any ideas on what I can do? Googling it just gives me a load of people trying to create a hybrid :/

Tried everything you suggested, but nothing worked. I tried removing the effects with the console but every time I would have gone to the next stage as a vampire the effects came back. In the end I got Serana to make me a vampire again, this allowed me to cure it with Falion right away, then I added werewolf with the console since Aela doesn;t have the option anymore. The downside is that I can't access the undercroft, but my last active totem still works so I'm not too upset about that.

If anybodys interested, the bug came back after I fixed it, and it turns out it's actually a serana bug. Dismissed her as a folower and haven't had a problem since.

Use the console command and type this below:

setstage 000eafd5 10

Your vampirism should now be reset.

I can confirm what BrownHawk said. I used the console to bring up the character gen menu while still in game, which was supposed to reset everything back to level one and give me back all the perk points I'd spent (I'd then use the console to level myself back up to where I was, and spend all those points on what I needed to fit my play style). Thing is, it didn't reset everything. The menu came up like it was supposed to, and the option to change my race/gender/name/etc. came up, but it didn't reset anything. I was a full Vampire Lord when I did this and had completed the main questline (as well as a few side quests). I then went on to the Companions and became a Werewolf. Thing is, I had the powers of both as well as the weaknesses. After a while I couldn't feed as a Werewolf, all that came up was the 'Search' option (which was helpful for the 'Wear all your armor at once' glitch).

Having grown tired of this, I used the above console command to rid myself of Vampirism, then had Serana make me a Vampire again. Sure enough, I'm now back to being a Vampire Lord with no Werewolf stuff. If you have this bug and want to do the reverse (be a full Werewolf with no Vampire stuff and be able to feed), then just use the above trick and talk to Aena again to have her make you a Werewolf.

I may become a Werewolf again later in the game, I'm not sure (it looks neat and I do *so* enjoy feasting upon the hearts of my fallen foes), but for now I'll stay a Vampire. Although the sunlight thing is a royal pain in the @$$.
