Shrouded boots or muffle enchantment

Hi,

I am just wondering if there is a difference in using the shrouded boots of the dark brotherhood which are enchanted with muffle or if I enchant some boots by myself with muffle (with max enchantment). Is muffle in both cases equally strong or is there a difference?

No difference I believe.

If you play a stealth oriented character, then there is a 50% muffle effect from one of the sneak perks; with that, it should not matter if the enchantment has a magnitude of 50 or 100%, as the sum will always be at least 100. Of course, custom enchantments still have the advantage that a second effect can be added as well.
