Anise's Cabin
So, is there some kind of quest attatched to that cabin? I know that if you go into her basement you find a letter asking her daughter or something to come live with her and start some kind of cult and i know her daughter's (or grand adughter', can't remember) name sounds familiar, but i am not sure. is there a way to ind her duaghter?

Nope, no quest. That's what I like about Skyrim, so much stuff that isn't tied to a quest. Let's you play the game the way you want rather than how the developer wants you do.
steal anise stuff, be prepared for a fight tho

This was one of those things that turned me off on the game early. So much potential for something deeper or even a few conversation choices but no. You emerge from the cellar and whether she saw you or not its herr derr lets fight because that's all the developers think we care about.

I'm pretty sure Anise was placed in the cabin as an after thought because the cabin was clearly made to look uninhabited as there are lots of boards missing everywhere including the roof. I was like WTF when I first entered it.

So many things could have been great in this game but instead were thrown in half baked and it shows.

Isn't anise's cabin not linked somehow to the Dark Brotherhood?

Have you tried Mods? OMG there are SO many random things that happen in my game it still blows my mind... New Nps'c and people everywhere. I on like 1300 hours and its still amazing... Not even the slightest bit bored yet... :)

There are some details about the cabin that pertain to other quests, but they aren't something that you'd actually encounter in the process of doing them, and they aren't really important.

The run down look of the cabin makes sense in the game context relative to Anise, I think.

Not everything in the game needs to be tied to a quest.

Hmm, unless I'm playing a rogue, I just go to the side window long enough to read her skill book that is laying on her dresser. If I'm a thief or thief/alchemist I break into her cellar. It's called roleplaying.

The girl mentioned in the letter, Helgi I think, might be the same girl that died in the fire in Morthal?

Not possible I think, the letter mentions "renounce that boy and live with me in the forest" and Helgi from Morthol is but a little girl.

imo, Anise and her shack are unrelated and by accident.
