Improving unique enchanted armor

Ok, so I have a Guild Master armor (last armor in the thief's guild). I want to improve it so I trained my smithing to lvl 100 and got the arcane smithing perk. Since its a leather armor its no registered in the perk list so you gotta get a fortify smithing gear + potions. So I got that too. Bought leather to improve it also.

But now the problem is I can't even improve it to flawless because it says to me : ''you are missing the required perk''. WTF ?

What AM I MISSING ? Nothing...
What should I do now ? I really want to improve it. It's my main thief armor.

PS : Got the armor via console commant cause I didn't want to do the sidequests ro revive the guild for RP reasons. Don't have DB nor DG.

Running any mods because it is possible to temper the thing into Legendary through enchantments and potions.

Are you sure that you actually got the Guild Master Armor and not Mercer's version of it? They are not the same.

I have no idea why you mentioned DB and DG there.

Yes, I'm almost sure. And according to the wiki, Mercer's armor is not playable :/

So yeah.

Not playable only means that it can not be aquired without console codes. It does not mean that you would not be able to have and use it. This is why I asked.

Cuirass ID should be 000E35D7.

Yes iija, the full armor set that I got is the real one => same ID for the cuirrass.

So yeah can't even upgrade it to flawless, got the required perks : arcane and smithing gear.

You have the smithing perk, that's good. Does that mean you only have Steel and Arcane as perks, or did you invest in the rest to get the maximum upgrade to legendary. Other things that help are gear that boost Smithing, or potions that do the same. Use them all at once to get the maximum benefit.

Only got steel + arcane. I don't care about upgrading it to legendary, the thing is that I can't UPGRADE IT AT ALL even to flawless. Tells me that I don't have the required perk

And stop being so dense, you need Elven Smithing to upgrade it to Flawless, I think.

No. It is classified as a leather. It does not require Elven smithing perks.
