Bran (Dawnguard dog) wont stop following me.

Like the title says, Bran refuses to stop follow me. I've tried set Playerfollowercount 0 AND Set playeranimalcount 0 and Disable/Enable.

He is bugged on several levels, as his dialouge is messed up as well. In the sense that it doesn't work. at all. It's either stuck on (Whine) or just blank and never progressing.

If I'm lucky I can choose whether to tell him to wait or to dismiss him, neither one does anything and is just stuck on blank dialouge and will not progress any further.

Can you kill him? make sure you do this on a save without using those console commands.
Can you take other followers and/or dogs?

I somehow managed to ''fix'' it. It isn't that he was ''broken'', relatively speaking, he was just INCREDIBLY slow, and while trying to recruit another follower the dismiss command somehow started and he left my service. I have no idea why or how but i'm not touching another dog even with a 10-foot pole ever again.
